Light Up to Live Valor Charity Tournaments and Ball Benefit Veteran Organizations
Golf tournament, clay shoot and gala held Sept. 21-22 to raise funds and awareness

The Light Up To Live Foundation, a charity founded by Randall and Sherry Reed, is proud to announce the Valor Charity Events taking place September 21-22, 2018. The weekend of events, including a golf tournament, clay shoot tournament, and black-tie ball, are raising awareness and funds to support the rehabilitation and medical needs of our military Veterans returning home after active duty.

Light Up To Live Foundation puts polychromatic light therapy systems in the hands of members of the U.S. Armed Forces and veterans suffering with the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress, TBI, pain and depression. We connect and support like-minded organizations, charities and services that benefit this community.

To kick off the trifecta of events, the Valor Golf Tournament begins on Friday, September 21, 2018, at the Cowboys Golf Club located at 1600 Fairway Dr. in Grapevine, Texas. The event features a round of golf, complimentary continental breakfast and lunch, player gift bag, contest holes, awards and prizes. The registration, breakfast, warm up, rules and benediction will be from 6:30-8 a.m. The first tee time will begin at 8 a.m. with lunch and rewards scheduled from 1:00-2:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 22, the Valor Clay Shoot takes place at the Elm Fork Shooting Sports range located on 10751 Luna Rd. in Dallas, Texas. The event features raffle prizes, participation gift bags, and competitions. You can choose to sign up individually or be a part of a four-man team. The complimentary breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. The first clay will hit the sky at 9 a.m. The awards, complimentary lunch and the Scott Beretta Show take place from noon to 1 p.m.

The final event, The Valor Ball, is Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center located at 1501 Gaylord Trail in Grapevine, Texas. At the black-tie ball, patrons will enjoy a live music, a gourmet dinner, live auction, and special presentations. Guests will have the opportunity to honor a member of the military with an American-made, handcrafted wood Flags of Valor with a Valor plaque. These beautiful works of art are created by a company that is Veteran owned and operated. The funds raised not only support Light Up to Live, but each flag also helps this company employ Veterans, as well as raise money for Veteran and first-responder charities. The Patriotic Service Dogs are demonstrating how their pups are helping Veterans. Guests are invited to participate in the auction that that will fund the purchase and training of two service dogs to be gifted to two military Veterans.

All Valor Charity Events funds raised will directly support:

  • Polychromatic LED Light Therapy Systems are purchased and donated to other charities that provide physical and emotional therapy to veterans learning adaptive skills.
  • Polychromatic LED Light Therapy Systems are donated for personal use by veterans who can use the kits at home or away from their physical therapy center.
  • Funding of Service Dogs trained specifically for use by Veterans living with Post-Traumatic Stress, TBI and physical injuries to enhance their daily adaptive living needs – including 18 months of training and five years of canine food and veterinary care.

About Light Up To Live Up

Light Up To Live Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) public charity based in Addison, TX and founded by Randall and Sherry Reed. As a military family,  they are dedicated to raising awareness about the members of our U.S. Armed Forces and Veterans living with the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), tissue injury, pain and depression. The foundation funds polychromatic light therapy systems that have been shown to increase blood flow in the body and reduce associated minor pain for active military and Veterans that we identify could most benefit from its use. Light Up To Live helps connect these military members and their families to other organizations that are in alignment with our mission to provide direct aid and assistance. We want to light a path to better health.
