The Light Up To Live Weekend of Events was a huge success, thank you to everyone who showed their patriotic side and came out to support our Veterans. The Light Up To Live Valor Clay Shoot was, unfortunately, rained out, but has been rescheduled to November 29, 2018, at the Elm Fork Shooting range in Dallas. There are still spots available.

Our first event, the Valor Golf Tournament, held at the Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine, Texas had an outstanding turn out with 240 players. The weather held off just long enough for our players to have a good day on the course without the scorching Texas heat.

THE VALOR GALA
The Valor Gala was nothing short of a success. The ball was held Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center on 1501 Gaylord Trail in Grapevine, Texas.
At the ball, patrons enjoyed live music, a gourmet dinner, open bar, live auction and special presentations. Our participant’s support allows Light Up to Live to support our military men and women who have returned home from active duty and need assistance as they travel a new path home. Many members of our returning military and Veterans are silently suffering with physical pain, anxiety, depressions, traumatic brain injury (TBI) or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
This is the special presentation from our friends The Patriotic Service Dog Foundation who have been training two dogs, Gentle Ben a German Shepard and Jackel, a Labradoodle. These life-saving dogs have been funded by Valor Weekend of Events this past weekend.
Watch how this amazing animal helps his owner who battles PTSD.
A special thank you goes out to our donors who help supply the auction items for the event. The evening would not have been able to go on without your support. Congratulations to our bidders, your support will change a Veteran’s life.
