GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement. It is a day not only created to raise awareness about ways we can help our community and our world, but it’s also a day that people can come together to unleash the power of positive change. Light Up To Live Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that is registered with GivingTuesday.org, based in Dallas, and founded by Randall and Sherry Reed, owners of the World Class Automotive Group. We invite you to join forces with us to help our military men and women who are silently suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), pain, depression and other combat-related issues. Light Up To Live Foundation is the only organization in Texas and 48 states that gives polychromatic light therapy systems to members of the U.S. Armed Forces and Veterans living with Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury, pain and depression. It also funds highly-trained service dogs for veterans with adaptive needs. The Foundation is dedicated to connecting military members and their families to other organizations that are in alignment with its mission of lighting a path to better health.

Thanks to donations and sponsorships in 2017, 2018 and 2019, our foundation has been able to help Veterans by providing polychromatic light therapy systems to use on their road to recovering. Light Up To Live is also partnered with several like-minded Veteran charity organizations, such as Patriotic Service Dog Foundation (PSDF). Our charity has provided service dogs as well as funds for training and care.  Light Up To Live just made a $35,000 contribution to PSDF. That donation was possible because so many united to support Light Up To Live’s September Clay Shoot, Golf Tournament and Gala. Those who have donated, sponsored and volunteered were part of making a life-changing impact in the lives of many Veterans.

One example is Veteran Michelle Rivera. She was partnered in 2019 with her new service dog Gentle Ben. Rivera, who suffered for years with severe PTS, found the perfect match with the handsome German Shepherd who is named in memory of U.S. Army Sgt. Ben Adams. She said Gentle Ben has given her the courage and confidence to move back into society and to her normal activities and work, whereas before, she had isolated herself at home. (Click to watch a video and learn more).
