Dear Friends,On behalf of my family and the Board of Directors of the Light Up To Live Foundation, we want to all say a heartfelt “THANK YOU!” for the outstanding support you showed us at this year’s fundraising events.

From the Clay Shoot to the Golf Tournament, we are overwhelmed with your generosity of time, spirit, gifts, and donations! It truly takes all of us doing a little to make a BIG difference in the lives of our veterans living with PTS, TBI, Pain, and Depression. We want to extend a special thank you to our friends and associates who sponsored veteran teams from the Adaptive Training Foundation, Sons of the Flag, Boots for Troops, and many other Veteran and first responder programs.

We invite you to stay connected! We’ll post photography from our events and stories about Bonney and Ellis, our 2021 Patriotic Service Dogs in training at LightUpToLive.org. In addition, look for emails, texts, and blog posts about how we’re serving our veterans and charitable partners.

You – yes, you – help make all this possible!

Sincerely,
Randall Reed
President
Light Up to Live Foundation

A big THANK YOU to our 2021 Light Up To Live Presenting sponsor, Ethos Group. Their support helped make our 2021 Clay Shoot & Golf Tournament huge successes! Through the dedicated support of their employees making personal donations, by year-end, they will raise $35,000.Ellis is the newest Patriotic Service Dog to join forces with Light Up To Live. He is a beautiful German Shepherd who is now in the training program with the Patriotic Service Dog Foundation. It takes two years or more to train a service dog like Ellis, and Ethos is proudly sponsoring his training as he prepares to help a Veteran who has returned home and is on the path to recovery.

Light Up To Live thanks all of our 2021 Event Sponsors for their support to Veterans in need. Your contributions help us continue to provide Patriotic Service Dogs and Polychromatic Light therapy systems to those who gave so much in service of our country. See who contributed HERE.

2021 has seen a lot of great moments in Light Up To Live’s mission of providing Veterans hope on their road to recovery. We saw two Patriotic Service Dogs, Ellis and Bonney, get support for their care and training to be ready to provide help for Veterans dealing with PTS, TBI, pain, and depression. In addition, our Patriotic Service Dogs received a new Ford Transit Connect Van from the Reed Family of dealerships & Light Up To Live! The van is customized and includes a climate-controlled interior and six kennels for safely transporting service dogs.

Light Up To Live also provided 30 Polychromatic LED Light Therapy systems to the Adaptive Training Foundation graduates, which provides access and inclusion to individuals living with physical or traumatic ailments by empowering them through exercise and community. Additionally, our foundation donated eight-light systems to individual veterans who can benefit from its use.

Thank You to Lew Hoyt, USMC, USN (Ret.)!

Light Up To Live wishes to extend a warm thank you to Veteran Lew Hoyt for traveling from Sedona, AZ to be our featured speaker at the 5th Annual Light Up To Live Golf Tournament at Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine, TX on Oct 1, 2021.

Lew Hoyt is renowned among aviation circles for his service as both a fighter pilot and instructor in the USMC and the USN, and he also served in the Vietnam War. We thank Lew and his aviation alums for their generous donation to the Light Up To Live Foundation last year in honor of our work to support Veterans.

This is a time of year when everyone likes to find ways to give thanks and give to those who may need a helping hand. That is especially true for those who give so much to others. Light Up To Live Foundation is on a mission to help our Veterans and wants to share different ways you can help our Vets, as well.
